About MILO
Milo is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (DAHM) and a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac) with a focus on gender-affirming care and integrative oncology serving the Seattle area. He graduated from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine (SIEAM) with a doctorate in 2025. His doctoral work culminated in a systematic review on the integration of Chinese herbal medicine with conventional treatment for pancreatic cancer. In his practice, he supports patients with chronic pain, surgery preparation and aftercare, skin conditions, sleep issues, hormonal support (including trans health), menstrual support, substance use moderation, grief and stress processing, headaches and migraines, and more.
Milo values team-based healthcare approaches and works closely with patients, their doctors and care teams to deliver multifaceted treatments that can address a wide range of health concerns. This collaborative approach ensures that patients benefit from multiple perspectives and have access to more information, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
Before becoming a practitioner, Milo spent more than a decade as a youth mentor, teaching artist, and facilitator. When burnout and personal health challenges led him to seek a new approach, he turned to Chinese medicine and herbalism. After experiencing the transformative care that this medicine provided, he began to recognize first-hand how individualized healing can truly be.
As a mixed Black and Filipino queer and trans practitioner, Milo recognizes the importance of shared identity in the healing process and invites patients to experience care that is affirming, authentic, and deeply connected to their whole selves.
